Improving access to education for conflict affected children in Northeast Nigeria. The project aims to deliver an effective response to basic needs of the most vulnerable out-of-school children affected by the crises in the Northeast Nigeria.
Achievements
- Successful enrolled 3500 out of schoolchildren for the project
- Successful completed awareness on the importance of education to the patients of learners in 18 communities of implementation
- Successfully distributed scholastic materials to the enrolled learners
- Successfully trained 100 learners’ facilitators on the use of scripted lessons for the project
- Successfully implemented effective complaint response mechanism across locations of implementation
- Trained 54 community coalition on sustainability plan
- Trained 25 IGA beneficiaries on business management
- Carried out awareness to stakeholders, LGEA, MAME, SUBEB and MoE
DOLPWIF/LGA2LGA Project (C)
This project is carried out by DOLPWIF. The projected is sited in across 7 LGAs ( Izzi, Ishielu, Ebonyi, Ikwo, Afikpo, Ezza North) of Ebonyi state. Its being funded by DOLPWIF through DOLPWIF TEAM. The purpose of the project is to improve public service delivery in the areas of primary Health, Basic Education and WASH by Sub-National Government.
through enhancing Transparency, Accountability and effectiveness in Public Finance Management.
Achievements
- Capacity building for 35 CSOs on Budget Education, Analysis, and participatory M&E of Budget Execution
- Support citizen led community health care development plan for seven communities of the project implementation
- High level of stakeholder’s advocacy on release of budget funds to renovate and equip dilapidated primary health facilities in the focused communities
- Sensitize of seven communities on budget education and demand for primary health care services
- Setting up of community accountability committee (CAT) members in seven focused communities to support citizens ownership of primary health facilities and advocate for government adequate funding of the facilities.
- Through DOLPWIF`s activities, in the 7 communities, citizens are now engaging with the government in demanding for government intervention on the identified problems in their primary facilities.
