DOLPWIF is a Non-governmental organization that care for and servicing the less privilege and widows in Nigeria, The organization was established 5 years ego and incorporated in the year 2022 in Ebonyi State, and currently operating in six (6) states of Nigeria, namely: Ebonyi, Enugu, Yobe, Abia, Adamawa, Imo and Anambra states.
DOLPWIF operates in States in the North-East/West and South east region of Nigeria with offices in Ebonyi, Yola, Enugu, Abia State and coordinators in other states of the regions. DOLPWIF Strategic Plan for 2023-2024 continuing through 2030 is intended to serve as a guide for strengthening and coordinating DOLPWIF’s work in education, Protection and other crosscutting thematic area of interventions (Health and Governance). Developed by the DOLPWIF staff with critical input from Management Sciences for Health (CUBS and Plan Health staff), the Strategic Plan reflects a dynamic planning process and presents a multidimensional research agenda, with an interrelated set of goals and strategies for achieving
the goals. The major premise around which the Strategic Plan is framed include the following: Improving organizational system through partnership with donors and implementing Partners, Increase DOLPWIF coverage and scope on other key cross cutting thematic areas, like health, governance and child protection.
In the past 5 years, DOLPWIF has built the capacity of 20 CBOs in Bauchi and Ebonyi State to create demand for Primary health services and provision of basic services to OVC in both States. DOLPWIF implemented HIV/AIDS prevention program for most at risk population, carrying out HIV/TB community outreaches/ HCT, condom and lubricant distribution, adherence counseling and referral services, The crisis in north-east Nigeria (Enugu, Adamawa and Yobe) which remains one of the most severe in the world, DOLPWIF has responded by providing specialized services on Child Protection in Emergency program – case management services to unaccompanied, separated and other children with protection concerns, basic psychosocial support to children affected by the insurgency and crises in Ebonyi state, and their families, strengthening the capacity of community structures including religious, community and local groups/associations to address child protection concerns and risks, family tracing and unification, providing access to displaced children for informal and formal education, provision of cash transfer to foster caregivers, nutrition, water and sanitation services. These projects were implemented either in Ebonyi, Adamawa, Bauchi, Yobe, Abia, Imo, Anambra, Sokoto, Enugu State under the aegis of DOLPWIF Nigeria,
DOLPWIF is currently implementing Education enlightenment, Provisions of scholastic materials and school uniform. (funded by DOLPWIF)
